Rent a moped in Miami with the license from home
A valid driver's license from your own country is enough for our 49cc mopeds, and our e-bikes need none. Pick it up at our shop in Brickell, or have it delivered.
What to bring
For the 49cc moped: a valid driver's license from your country that you have held for at least a year. If it is not in English, bring an International Driving Permit with it. Bring your passport too, and a card in your own name for the deposit.
No license, or one that is too new? Take the Class 2 e-bike: in Florida it needs no license.
You send a photo of your license through a secure link when you book, and we check the original at the counter.

Renting with a license from another country
- Can I rent a moped with a license from my country?
- Yes. Florida lets visitors ride on a valid license from their own country, and an ordinary car license is enough for a 49cc moped. If it is not in English, bring an International Driving Permit with it. The license rules in detail.
- I do not have a license. What can I rent?
- The Class 2 e-bike: in Florida it is ridden like a bicycle, with no license. You must still be 18 or older.
- Can I book and pay in Spanish or Portuguese?
- Yes. Every page, the booking and the help pages are in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French: choose the language at the top of the page.
- How does the deposit work?
- It is held on a card in your own name - the amount for each vehicle is in the table above - and released 7 business days after you bring the vehicle back, less anything owed for damage, tolls or tickets.
- Can I use it to work, for deliveries?
- Yes. Vamo Gig is billed week by week with the servicing done by us; with no license, ask for the e-bike. Weekly rental for work and delivery.
